Tales of the rabbi 26

In Kiev it was told that bishop Sebastian rode the purple whirlwind on moonless nights, accompanied by a single angel who noted the names of all sinners the good bishop noticed. It was also rumored that the ornaments of his staff had been sharpened 'to a sharpness not unlike a razor' and that he used this instrument to make sure that certain of those sinners would never sin again.

pretty good, is the background a fractal?

Several fractals actually. If you have a look around my site you can see I use fractals for about any kind of texture. You can make scales, trees, leaves, clothing and even streaming water from fractals. Like all things digital it isn't a shortcut: it is easier in fact for me to paint all those things directly but the fractals are often more beautiful .
