One of my more flamboyant sci-fi novels. It has everything from a two thousand year old secret society, a hidden industrial revolution in classical Greece. Van Helsing and other defending Earth against an invasion from the hell-dimension Yerkalden.
It was a kind of game inventing as many original monsters as possible, and most of them with at least twice the IQ of a human.
When my protagonists finally get into Yerkalden, one them finds a fossilized cola bottle so perhaps these invaders aren't from the infernal regions after all...
The fractal is an opening time gate, ready to spill a horde of new monsters. The animal on the tombstone is a sark, a bit more intelligent than a human and able to blend into its surroundings like a chameleon.

De plaatsing van de fractaal vind ik een beetje vreemd. Ik zou die zelf wat lager en meer naar rechts hebben geplaats. Zo zou er niet zo'n duidelijke onderbreking in het plaatje zijn en lijkt het (in mijn mening) meer één geheel.
Whoops, schrijf ik weer eens per ongeluk in het Nederlands. Next one will be in proper English again.
